Stephen Hadley
Stephen Hadley began his professional dance career with the Arthur Murray organization. As a professional competitor, he is a former Championship finalist in both Standard and Latin and represented the United States at the European Cup. He served as Chairman of the Southeastern Regional Dance Board and was a member of the International Dance Board for Arthur Murray, Inc.
Steve holds Fellowships with the North American Dance Teachers Association in Standard, Latin, American Smooth, Rhythm and Theater Arts. He has been a proud member of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing for 47 years and currently serves as President of the USISTD. Steve is a WDSF A 3.0 adjudicator and has had the honor to judge the World Youth Latin Championships in addition to many Open Championship events.
Kimberly Smith
Kimberly Smith has been teaching dancing for 37 years and has owned and operated Dr. Dance Studio, Inc. in Birmingham for 31 years. Kim has enjoyed a fulfilling career as a professional competitor, pro/am competitor, teacher and currently coaches amateur and professional couples. She holds both Memberships and Fellowships with the North American Dance Teachers Association and Licentiates with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, which embodies the world’s acknowledged leaders in the dance profession.
She continues to proudly serve the society on the National Committee as Treasurer of the USISTD. As an adjudicator, Kim is a WDSF A 3.0 adjudicator and has had the honor of judging the WDSF World Sr. I Latin Championships as well as many Open WDSF Championship events. Kim leads the newly formed Exam Department of USA Dance and serves on the Professional Council.
Chris Spaulding
Christopher Spalding was born and raised in Virginia where he received his BFA in Musical Theatre from the prestigious Shenandoah Conservatory. After college he embarked on a successful theatre career that took him all over the US including multiple national touring productions and Broadway. He then transitioned into the ballroom world where he met his wife and dance partner, Kelly Bartlett. Together they won 3 North American Titles and 1 UCWDC World Title. In 2013 they opened their school, The Fort Wayne Ballroom Company, and have continuously won top teacher and top studio awards around North America. In 2018 he made his return to the theatre world when he founded Summit City Music Theatre, a professional theatre company producing family-friendly musicals and plays in NE Indiana.
Christine Zona
Christine Zona has been teaching and competing in ballroom dance since 1980. She has competed professionally in the International Standard and Latin and the American Ballroom divisions. Christine has also published, through Human Kinetics, a how to dance book, “Gotta Ballroom,” which includes the American style ballroom dances: Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot and Viennese Waltz. Currently, she divides her time coaching and teaching between Pittsburgh, PA and New York City. She is a certified instructor of the Body School System and an adjudicator with North American Dance Teachers Association and USA Dance. Christine is the International Ballroom dance coach at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA, and is also a visiting coach at various universities. As a member of the Collegiate Network Executive Committee in USA Dance, she has helped to create programs for college students and plan USA Dance Collegiate Nationals.
Patricia Goh
Patricia, a dancesport ambassador, believes in promoting dancesport with integrity through her role as a WDSF Adjudicator, WDSF Chairperson and WDSF Scrutineer. She volunteers as a member of WDSF board and chair of committees. She is also passionate in giving back to the dancesport community and has in the past three years been invited to act as the general meeting minutes secretary. In addition to being a past champion in Adult Standard and Ten Dance, Patricia also holds a Masters degree, the professional accounting designation of Chartered Professional Accountant and advanced certification in music and ballet.
Patricia is an experienced adjudicator who is frequently appointed to adjudicate significant WDSF competitions including several World Standard and Latin Championships of various age groups, WDSF World Smooth Championship, WDSF Grand Slams and WDSF Grand Slams Finals in Shanghai.
Phillip Lee
Phil’s passion of dancing has enabled him to achieve his goal of becoming a WDSF Chairperson, WDSF Adjudicator, WDSF PD Adjudicator, National Championship Chair of Adjudicators and National Championship Adjudicator in both International and American styles, and a Certified Scrutineer. Phil regularly adjudicates major WDSF championships including world championships. He enjoys coaching competitive dancers from novice to championship levels and new talents. In addition, Phil is an examiner for new dance professionals.
Phil also has an aspiration outside of dancing where he holds a Business degree in Finance, a Masters degree and a CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) designation.
Kelly Bartlett
Originally from Cedar Rapids, Iowa -- BA in Theatre - Acting/Directing, Dance - Performance & Compostition, and Journalism from Iowa State University. MFA in Acting Performance from the University of Iowa. **Professional Theatre and Dance credits: Des Moines Playhouse, Hurly Dancers, Margolis Brown Movement Theatre Company, Riverside Theatre, Cedar Rapids Performance Company, Joel Hall Dancers, Jump Rhythm Dance Project, River North Dance Chicago **2002 Irene Ryan Scholarship recipient from The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts **Professional Ballroom Credits: Three-Time North American Smooth and Showdance Champion, Three-Time World UCWDC finalist, Four-Time Global Dancesport Series Top Female Instructor, Two-Time 2nd place Global Dancesport Series Overall Instructor, DVIDA Certified Master Instructor, NDCA registered Professional Competitor and Instructor, USA Dance Professional Official and Judge.
Joe Martin
Master of Ceremonies
Joe Martin and his wife Karen have been competing as an Amateur DanceSport couple since 2009 in both NDCA and USA Dance events. Some of their favorite competitions include the Michigan Dance Challenge, the Carolina Fall Classic and the Chicago DanceSport Challenge. They also perform in several couples formations and are part of a Rueda Team.
Joe is accustomed to public speaking and enjoys presenting at industry conferences and civic meetings.
Joe is the Founder and President of MartinCSI, an award-winning systems engineering firm founded in 1993 and headquartered in Central Ohio.
